Events: See Our X-ID® Cross Bore Detection Technology in Action

Events at ULC Technologies

Join us and see our advanced cross bore detection solution live.

Since 2001, ULC Technologies has helped utilities, energy companies and industrial companies repair and maintain their pipelines and infrastructure through the development of innovative robotic solutions.

Working alongside our customers, we have developed X-ID® for cross bore detection. This acoustic sensor deploys directly into newly installed or legacy PE gas mains to detect cross bores while eliminating the need to enter sewer mains and laterals.

We would like to invite you and your teams to see firsthand how X-ID® works in the field and how this innovative procedure provides increased coverage, reduced test holes with pinpoint accurate locating, and an optimal inspection environment to eliminate sewer inspections.

Register with the form on the right and join us for the day for free. We will begin with a brief tour of our facility and an overview of the technology, then head across the street for a demo at our testbed set-up. Lunch will be served as well.

Attend Our Upcoming Demo Day at No Cost.

Explore the Impact of our Work

To improve cross bore safety for new gas main and gas service installation projects, PG&E collaborated with ULC Technologies to deploy a new acoustic cross bore detection method on gas distribution facilities that were just installed.

Hear From Real Customers

Clint W.
– Chief Construction Inspector, Orange & Rockland Utilities

Before we excavate for replacement of Aldyl-A pipe, we always call ULC to help us avoid third party damages in the field. We won’t dig until ULC marks the main using their long range cameras. Their marks are spot-on, which means fewer holes in the street for our community.

Brett Fisher
– Supervisor of Construction, Elizabethtown Gas

Before we brought in ULC, we had to rely on old records and some of the curb lines have changed or streets have widened, making it challenging to locate the stubs. In-Pipe Locating is a good program to bring in to help us locate the stubs and possibly prevent damages when we’re installing our new gas main.

S. Sweeney
– Con Edison

“Hiring ULC Robotics for the work with CISBOT on West End Avenue cost $400,000. To do the job the way such work used to be done would have cost $1.5 million to $1.8 million.”

J. Rowing
– Westminster Council UK

“CISBOT enables us to keep the roads open, have the gas on the entire time, and it massively reduces the duration of the work.”

J. Harrison
– Cadent Gas

“CISBOT delivered 850m of Gas mains remediation to this highly sensitive location in 9 weeks compared to 9 months via traditional methods, The impact on traffic was considerably reduced and at no time did customers have their gas supplies interrupted.”
