RRES Geared up for UK Debut at Dig Live 2021

After almost two years of virtual events, we’re looking forward to be exhibiting at the industry’s first face-to-face event No Dig Live 2021 in the UK, with the Robotic Roadworks and Excavation System (RRES) being set to reach UK soil for the first time to showcase at the event ahead of planned field trials.

The event is organized by Westrade Group and UKSTT, and is taking place between Tuesday 14 September – Thursday 16 September to showcase innovative products, solutions, and companies across the trenchless industry.

RRES was co-developed alongside SGN to replace conventional excavation methods by using below ground sensing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to conduct an autonomous end-to-end excavation and reinstatement process.

The robotic system has already received the RBR50 award in the Application & Market Innovation class for utilities, and has been shortlisted for the ‘Innovative Product’ award at the UKSTT Awards which is taking place during the event.

“I am delighted that we will be attending the event with RRES to show the potential in expanding the capabilities of the current platform,” said Ali Asmari, RRES Project Lead at ULC Technologies. “Our team of experts will be on hand to demonstrate the current system, and discuss the potential in developing new tooling and use cases for the system to overcome challenges across multiple industries.”

Along with RRES, we will also be showcasing our inspection and maintenance cameras and crawler systems, which deliver detailed visual inspection and mapping data inside pipelines to assist project planning, pre-rehabilitation mapping, and identify and locate features. This includes the M1 Inspection Crawler, PRX250, and VGC Crawlers.

Our team will be exhibiting outside on Stand 57 at No Dig Live. If you would like to set up a meeting with the team throughout the duration of the event, please contact Alex Pender at alexandra.pender@spx.com.
