Empowering Reliable Electricity Distribution in Orlando
The 2024 Distributech International conference will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from February 26th through February 29th. Distributech International is one of the most anticipated annual events in the electric T&D industry, a platform that showcases some of the latest cutting-edge technologies that deliver power across our cities to keep our homes and businesses running.
The ULC team is excited to introduce our automated cable end preparation technology to industry leaders at this year’s exhibition. ULC Technologies has worked alongside Con Edison to develop a field-demonstrable machine capable of performing complex operations on medium-voltage feeders. Automating this process allows utility personnel to conduct the splicing operation from outside the vault, improving worker safety, and reducing the overall feeder outage.

Talking Gas Distribution Advancements in East Hanover, NJ
The 25th annual Northeast Gas Distribution Council Technical Conference and Trade Show will again be held at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover, New Jersey on Thursday, March 7th.
The half-day conference covers a wide range of topics related to the gas utilities industry, including new technological advancements, industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices. Rising to The Challenge of Damage Prevention in Colorado Springs
The 2024 CGA Conference & Expo will be held at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado from April 14th through the 17th. Each year, the CGA Conference is the ultimate destination for those who seek to be part of the ever-evolving world of damage prevention, including immersive educational experiences, revolutionary technology, and almost two football fields of exhibits. ULC Technologies looks to provide exciting updates on some of our core damage-prevention innovations.
Inside the exhibition hall, ULC Technologies will be sharing booth 621 with CUES, and across the aisle from Radiodection, businesses that are all under the SPX Technologies umbrella. CUES is the world’s leading manufacturer of water, wastewater, and stormwater inspection equipment. They will be exhibiting multiple technologies, but a major one is their GraniteNet Software, which is a powerful platform that helps infrastructure companies manage tasks, perform inspections, and make informed decisions about the condition of assets.
IGEM Lions’ Lair
On Wednesday, February 7th at 17:30 GMT the Pipeline Industries Guild and IGEM’s London, Southern & Eastern Section are holding their annual London Showcase and Lions’ Lair Event at the Holiday Inn on Coram Street in Bloomsbury, London.
The UK team will be showcasing solutions such as the Automated Utility Service Mark-Out System (AUSMOS), CISBOT, and more. This event also offers the chance for four contenders to present their cutting-edge innovations to a panel of industry experts. Each participant has just four minutes to present their idea, followed by a four-minute Q&A session with the ‘Lions.’ The winner is then presented with the 2024 Chris Bielby Award. In addition, those attending will have the opportunity to hear from Mark Wild, CEO of SGN, who will share invaluable insights and perspectives on the gas industry’s future.
