Trade Show Season Kicks Off with AUSMOS Debut at CGA

As the weather starts to warm up and tradeshow season begins again, ULC is hitting the road for knowledge sharing, networking and fun! We are starting off with two major events back-to-back for the 2023 Common Ground Alliance Conference & Expo and the 2023 American Gas Association Operations Conference & Biennial Exhibition and Spring Committee Meetings.

First Stop: Tackling Damage Prevention in Orlando

The 2023 CGA Conference & Expo will be held at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida from April 17th through the 21st. As damage prevention’s flagship event we look forward to networking with some of the industry’s top decision makers and showing off innovative solutions that support cross bore safety and below-ground mapping.

The ULC team is excited to introduce our latest damage prevention technology – AUSMOS – at CGA. This semi-autonomous robotic platform detects and marks-out below-ground infrastructure utilizing a sensor suite comprised of ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic sensors. With the ability to collect and process data on-site, AUSMOS marks out buried assets to support damage prevention and mapping across a wide range of applications.

“We are looking forward to showcasing AUSMOS at CGA”, said Mersim Redzematovic, AUSMOS Project Manager at ULC Technologies. “Our mobile robot has strong potential to reduce the risks of asset strikes by providing more user-friendly visualization of data.”

Inside the exhibition hall, the ULC team will be located at booth 627. We will also be demonstrating AUSMOS outside under tent 04 for the Dig, Demo, Discuss portion of the conference. While at the conference, be sure to keep an eye out for businesses within the SPX Technologies umbrella including Radiodetection and CUES.

Next Stop: Talking Gas Technology in Grapevine

The 2023 AGA Operations Conference & Biennial Exhibition will be held at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas from May 1st through the 4th. The annual AGA Operations Conference is the natural gas industry’s premier gathering of natural gas utilities.

“ULC Technologies has been working with the gas utility industry for more than 20 years to deliver research and development, robotics field services and innovative products,” says Ryan McGowan, VP Operations at ULC Technologies. “Our exhibit space will be utilized to showcase the many capabilities of ULC Technologies including our R&D capabilities and innovative field services—in addition to the continued expansion of our X-ID Cross Bore Detection Sensor and DDC-125 Emissions Recovery Drawdown unit.”

Under the SPX Technologies umbrella, our sister company CUES, will be sharing the booth space with us to exhibit their GraniteNet Sewer Inspection Software.

CUES is the world’s leading manufacturer of water, wastewater, and stormwater inspection equipment; providing the necessary tools for both pipeline inspection and repair. The GraniteNet Software is a powerful platform that helps people manage tasks, perform inspections, and make informed decisions about the condition of assets – delivering benefits to gas utilities and contractors.

See You There!

We hope to see everybody at one of these events, if not both! If you would like to set up a meeting with the team throughout the duration of either event, please contact Michael Schiraldi at michael.schiraldi@spx.com.
